Mystères (Langage des). Le jargon sacerdotal secret employé par les prêtres initiés, et utilisé exclusivement lorsqu'ils discutaient des choses sacrées. Chaque nation possédait sa propre langue des "mystères", inconnue sauf de ceux qui étaient admis aux Mystères.

Le Langage des Mystères (leçon 87).
« Une des règles de l'initiation à un haut degré de la Grande Loge contient les paragraphes suivants :
"Ceci est un secret qui donne la mort ; laisse ta bouche close de peur que tu ne le révèles au vulgaire ; comprime ton cerveau de peur que quelque chose ne s'en échappe et en tombe à l'extérieur."
Une autre exhortation est ajoutée à la première :
"Ouvre grand ta main que les gouttes de sang de tes veines ouvertes puissent tomber du bout de tes doigts pour donner la vie aux décédés. Ouvre ton coeur que son temple le plus profond puisse se refléter sur l'écran du monde par les rayons du Soleil Central, afin que l'homme puisse savoir qu'il existe une parole plus élevée que les mots."
Depuis que l'homme sans mental a été éclipsé par les Fils de Lumière, et que le Manas Supérieur est né dans la race humaine, les ombres du mental inférieur - les instincts animaux - ont combattu pour regagner et se maintenir à leur suprématie d'autrefois, et rayer tous les "Tu ne devras point" des commandements, donnés comme des guides pour une plus haute évolution, par les Fils de Lumière.
Le Décalogue n'est pas une invention moderne de quelques milliers d'années, donné par un Dieu au travers d'un simple guide de la race juive, comme cela est généralement supposé. Chaque paragraphe souligne le résultat final d'un temps infini d'expérience, accompli par un nombre incommensurable de prophètes et de sages, et gravé sur "deux tablettes de pierre", c'est-à-dire, sur les deux lobes des poumons, les transmetteurs de l'air, l'organe double qui rend possible la parole à l'homme.
Mais il y a bien plus que ces "Tu ne devras point", gravés sur des organes ou des pierres similaires, par les mêmes méthodes, à des fins similaires, par les mêmes prophètes et sages dans des corps plus totalement développés, et parmi eux on a ce qui suit :
"Tu ne devras point prendre le pain des enfants et le donner aux chiens", signifiant, "Tu ne devras point prendre les secrets de l'initiation et les donner au monde en général."
Dans bien des cas, où ce commandement a été désobéi, la mort en fait en a résulté - la mort de l'âme de celui qui révéla le secret et de celui qui le reçut. Lorsque certaines grandes vérités cosmiques ont été données à celui qui n'était pas préparé - le non-initié - l'âme et le corps ont été détruites par l'incapacité à contrôler les forces cosmiques générées, dû au fait qu'il était impossible de donner des instructions comme les bonnes méthodes sans danger de la manipulation des forces générées au moyen de vérités prononcées, qui ne pouvaient être données que de "bouche à oreille" par le Hiérophante de quelque degré, à un néophète du même degré, et aucun homme ou aucun Dieu dans une telle position ne pouvait possiblement être incité à donner de telles instructions à un faible ou un indigne.

Before the utter disintegration of such "dead" forms, the latter had become temples of black magic more or less consciously – instruments for the use of evil spiritual forces in form. And the same great crimes, with their terrible after – effects, are occurring in this age even more frequently and with greater power for evil than ever before, for it is the age of the anti-Christ, and there is no place, no centre, on the earth where the spiritual currents of the White Lodge have been directed for the amelioration of the ills of mankind, the betterment of existing conditions, and the spiritual advancement of the human race, that there has not entered into it the conscious satanic emissaries of the Black Lodge to take up their dwelling place in some man, or woman, who selfishly or ambitiously begins to use the knowledge acquired from close association with the disciples of the White Lodge, for the disruption and dissociation of the body with which he or she is connected.
The same forces, the same character of weak, unstable and drifting souls – vehicles of those forces – are with you now, as they are with every like centre where a link with the Initiates has been forged, and are fulfilling the same cosmic service, i. e., acting as testing stones for the individual members of the centre. In many cases such individuals ignorantly believe "they are doing God's service", while in reality they are striking at the very foundation of Faith, Hope and Courage. In other instances they are consciously bringing upon others all the evils human flesh is heir to, in the form of suffering, loss, and disease ; while [227] posing in their black lined white garments as benefactors. The Initiates are thus greatly hampered in their efforts ; and often incapacitated for imparting the methods hinted at in the above mentioned Rules, hindered from, opening the hand that the droppings from the finger tips – the rules of the Mystery language – may fall on mankind' ; i. e., may reach the intelligence, and so make possible the regaining of the powers and privileges now lost ; the possibilities of which are taught and explained in that language alone. In every instance, so far, that an attempt has been made to teach this language to the laity, and even before the first principles had been fully understood, those to whom the requisite knowledge had been entrusted have been compelled to stay their hand and wait for the replacing of some recreant from a seven fold group before they could continue ; for such a seven-fold group is an essential. Other disciples wonder and puzzle over the cessation of, or change in, some line of esoteric instruction, the cause for which cannot be explained at once by their teachers without breaking some law of discipleship by which they individually are bound ; and they often jump to the conclusion that the teachers are untrue or have reached the limit of their knowledge.
You must know these things if you are to meet them and be prepared "to stand in the furnace" by the side of those who must bear the strain of such conditions, and so make possible the resumption of any interrupted course of instruction, or the holding of a centre against the powers of evil that have gained entrance. If you cannot do this, "Your hour has not yet come." You have not yet gained the power to "lie still on the horizontal bar of the balanced cross, while the perpendicular spear passes through your vitals, to raise the vibrations of the Solar centre and enable you to win the reward of crucifixion."
Distrust the man or woman who tells you he or she is a Templar and then strikes at the heart of your Order. You are facing an emissary of the Brothers of the Shadow every time. Fly from the man or woman who offers you the gold of Spiritual knowledge in a cup made of the heart of a co-disciple. Your own heart's blood will eventually fill that cup, if you accept it.
He who appeals to the Brothers of Light for the opportunity, at the same moment of his appeal, demands the trial by fire, i. e., he demands an opportunity to prove his fitness for life on higher levels.
The law mercifully blinds him to his failures in many instances, but it is his fault alone if he fails in recognizing the presence of an emissary of a black magician in the midst of his Order when the fundamental law of that Order – Inseparableness – is attacked.
